Freddie James - Everybody Get Up And Boogie (1979)

(Current photo)

Freddie James (Frederick Alan Millgan his real name)
Born in Chicago, Illinois in 1965. Freddie came from a musical family. His great-grandmother had been a singer in Missouri. His grandfather made extra money by forming a hustle band, and of course his mother is Geraldine Hunt.
Freddie learned to sing from the heart by listening to his family sing in church choirs on the South Side of Chicago.
The first single from their debut album was "Get Up and Boogie," not to be confused with the band's classic SILVER CONVENTION of a few years earlier. The song ran through the charts and established Freddie James as a star. of the disk movement.
The song was so successful that the second 12 "single," Hollywood ", was released promotionally as well as a third," Crazy Disco Music "for the Top Ten charts.
All the songs had a theme in common, the theme was high-energy music and simplistic lyrics. The album only contained four songs with "Boy Dance Little Blue" which was the least known.
